CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND-UP
BRADFORD BULLS coach Eamon O'Carroll wants to topple Wakefield twice in two months - and says his players should be excited by that challenge.
The pair meet at Trinity's DIY Kitchens Stadium in round one of the league campaign on Friday.
And on the weekend of May 11/12, Bradford will have home advantage in the 1895 Cup semi-finals, knowing Wembley is just a win away.
By that stage, they should have Australian backrower or centre Zac Fulton, the 22-year-old grandson of Kangaroos legend Bob Fulton, on board, having signed him from Manly Sea Eagles.
The Bulls beat stubborn visitors Swinton 21-12 in the 1895 Cup quarter-finals.
And O'Carroll said: "While we will be keeping our feet firmly on the ground, and we know there is still a lot of work to be done to get to the level we want to be at, that semifinal should also act as an incentive as we start the league.
"If we play that game and do some of the things we did against Swinton, then we're out of the 1895 Cup and we don't get to Wembley, so we have a long way to go if we are to make it."
