CATALANS got back to winning ways in Perpignan but were made to fight all the way by an understrength and underpressure Hull FC.
Torrential rain in the drought-hit south of France may have made the Airlie Birds feel more at home, but it was less than comfortable for both sides as the conditions had a major impact on the game, with hamstring issues a particular problem in the slippery conditions.
The pitch held up well and the rain stopped midway through the second half. But by then the damage had been done with handling the first casualty in the heavy downpour followed by a string of players heading to the bench clutching their thighs.
