iPHOTO TO PHOTOS
I have been using a 27in iMac since 2009, running Mavericks [OS X 10.9]. I stayed with Mavericks and iPhoto, as the facility of quickly comparing two photos side by side was of more use to me than Memories and other features of Photos.
I now need to move to a new machine, and of course, Photos. I hadn’t been worried about this, as merging iPhoto and Photos is simple and routine, according to the web, which is full of advice on how to do it. And none of the ‘experts’ that I’ve been advised by in Apple shops had hinted at problems.
