Transferring tracks to the iPod classic meant that you had a real relationship with the music that you were purposefully selecting.
Well, I don’t know about you, but the older I get the less adventurous my musical tastes become. When I’m looking for something to listen to I find that I instinctively return to albums I know, rather than experiment with something new that I’ve never heard of before. Even when an Apple Music subscription means I’ve got 90 million songs at my fingertips, the list of songs I actually listen to seems to be vanishingly small.
