has been the lack of variety in the industry at large. It’s a sad side effect of companies getting perhaps a little too big that they no longer want to take risks. There’s a severe lack of innovation from the bigger brands, as they tend to chase market trends only once that trend has been established. It makes sense; you’re trying to have smooth quarteron-quarter consecutive growth with no drama, and wasting resources on products that might not light up the PC gaming community is a gamble. Still, it generally tends to lead to stagnation. There’s no reason to push the boundaries of what we can do, and no late nights stressing over finer details trying to build an edge against your competition.
