Razer Freyja
Whole-body haptic feedback at a premium price
SINCE NINTENDO
first released the RumblePak for the N64 back in 1997, haptic feedback has become a standard feature of game controllers. Nowadays, you can also get headsets that rumble to increase the immersion, so it was only a matter of time until the tech made its way into a chair, giving you whole-body feedback, rather than just through your head and hands.
Razer is at the forefront of this feedback revolution, thanks to its Sensa technology, which features on its Razer Kraken V4 Pro (reviewed on the previous page). It’s also what powers this Freyja, which isn’t actually a gaming chair, but a cushion that sits over your existing seat of choice. It’s perhaps not the most elegant solution—that would be a chair with everything built in, but until that arrives, this is a kind of toe-in-the-water test case from the US-Singaporean gaming lifestyle brand.
