Sentence deferred after sheriff hears ‘bizarre’ case of man in wardrobe

A MAN from Caol who entered his former partner’s house uninvited, burst out of her bedroom wardrobe late at night and tried to restrain her has been given a year to keep himself out of trouble.

At Fort William Sheriff Court on January 5, Sheriff William Taylor used the word ‘bizarre’ as he tried to resolve the situation involving 28-year-old Colin Eaton.

Eaton had admitted acting in a threatening manner towards his former partner, concealing himself in her wardrobe as she undressed and then assaulting her by putting his hand over her mouth in court last September.
