Thought for the week

‘MAY you live in interesting times’ is supposedly a Chinese proverb, sometimes described as a curse.

Whatever the truth about the expression, perhaps after last Thursday’s European Union referendum, some might wish for a return to the same old, same old, while others might be excited at what they hope will be a better future. No-one really knows but it will be different.

The United Kingdom sounds rather ironic with evident disunity between nations, ages, and urban and rural areas. No wonder our political elite and the media have gone into meltdown amid frenzied activity.
