Lifeline scheme to connect Lochaber homes extended

A TRUST is to make it easier for self-build home owners and community groups to connect to Lochaber’s electricity network.

Scottish Hydro Electric Community Trust has vowed to help customers and communities in the north of Scotland who face high charges for new electricity connections.

The independent trust has announced it will be extending its support to fund 75 per cent of the cost of electricity connections for community projects and up to 50 per cent of the cost to individual customers for new-build domestic connections.
