Clarification on land at Ganavan

FOLLOWING last week’s front page article ‘Have your say on land at Ganavan’, The Oban Times would like to clarify that Argyll and Bute Council is advertising a very small part of the land it owns at Ganavan for lease and welcomes interest in developing the site for community benefit. It is not selling its entire stake in the land, as was reported.

Last week’s article reported that some people were of the view that the council did not have the right to sell the land and that any money raised from the site should go into the town’s common good fund.
