THE TAYNUILT HOTEL and Restaurant is celebrating after its sous chef was named Sous Chef of the Year in the Scottish Hotel Awards 2016.
Ross Harris, 21, picked up the accolade just a couple of weeks after the hotel won its second AA Rosette for culinary excellence.
Born and raised in Taynuilt, Mr Harris had a Saturday job at the village bakery before going on to work as a kitchen porter at local hotels. After leaving school in 2013, he took up the role of commis chef role at the Taynuilt Hotel.
