BROCHAN’S enthusiasm is fantastic to witness – and it is infectious. From the sidelines, this coaching veteran’s love of the sport is clear – through every play of the ball.
Brochan, also known (very occasionally) as Duncan Aitken, coaches Mid Argyll’s young rugby players, and he is very optimistic about the future of the Mid Argyll Rugby Club, despite the fact that the region has had no senior team for the past five seasons.
‘We have a lot of young players coming up,’ he told The Oban Times. ‘It’s been a good year for the team and the parents have been more helpful than ever. The team is also getting better as the games go on, and it’s good to see that the things we are teaching them are sinking in.’
