After years of traditional fighting games, the original
Power Stone
was a welcome change to the formula. It was still one-onone, but the freedom of movement in 3D arenas and the variety of weapons at your disposal were unlike anything else in the genre. However, when Power Stone 2 came along and cranked up the craziness to new levels, it clearly marked its place as Capcom’s best fighter for party games. The most obvious way it did so was by adding support for four-player battles, instantly making the game feel far more chaotic than its predecessor.
