Laidbackgammon: Bridges takes a breather
“I find music comes and goes in seasons,” muses Jeff Bridges, reclining in an easy chair over video from his Santa Barbara home. “All of a sudden, it blooms up and I will write all these songs. These ones came from a particularly good season.” He’s talking about Slow Magic, a collection of experimental, laidback, kind of crazy recordings Bridges made in the late ’70s that found their way to Light In The Attic several decades later. “I don’t know what people will make of it. I don’t know what to make of it myself.”
