A Glasgow man has been ordered to pay £750 in compensation after spitting on someone in Tobermory. Scott Murray, aged 22, of 23 Invergordon Avenue, Glasgow, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and spitting on another person on October 29 of last year. He appeared in Oban Sheriff Court on Tuesday August 14, where Sheriff Patrick Hughes impose a community pay back order. Murray will be under a social work supervision order for 12 months, he will have to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work, and will have to pay a £750 compensation order to the victim.
