Fort William’s detachment of the Army Cadet Force is seeking new recruits and adult volunteers.
The Army Cadet Force is a voluntary youth organisation providing 12 to 18- year-olds the opportunity to take part in activities based on a military syllabus and other activities including adventure training, first aid and community events, national sports competitions and Duke of Edinburgh Awards - all while gaining life skills.
There is no joining fee, no weekly subscription fees, no cost for uniform (except for boots) and minimal cost for weekend activities. The detachment is looking for more adult volunteers to provide a greater range of opportunities for the Fort William cadets. The detachment meets on Wednesday nights from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Croff Road, Fort William.
