Given the scale of the problem fuelling our current food system, and the rate our natural resources are being depleted, it’s clear that a new technological plan capable of exceeding the required global food output, without drying up our freshwater, land, energy and grain supplies (currently overused to grow animals) is required. The global food industry is firmly focused on plant-based technology to regenerate our failing food system, funnelling billions into plant-based tech companies around the world, marking the beginning of the post-animal agriculture era.
