Stories to make them shake
Scary Diary Press publishes titles of dark sci-fi/spec-fic/bizarro and horror fiction focused ‘on world issues that need a-fixing’. Currently they want short story submissions, 2,000-5,000 words, for an anthology (working title Bloody Rock) which ‘combines a rock song theme and creepy horror into a tale that rocks readers to their bones’. The team want writers to ‘draw inspiration from the terrifying tunes of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s.’ Stories don’t have to use the song title as the story title but may. Writers must not use the original song lyrics, because of copyright problems. However the song inspiring the tale should be clear. The team want ‘stories that channel deathly waves on the air!’
