AIRBUS CORPORATE Jets (ACJ) has said the number of business jet departures in North America rose by 14.4% in June, compared with the same period in 2019. Overall, the company reports that during the first six months of 2022 there were more than two million business aircraft departures, a figure that is 13.7% higher than the same period pre-pandemic.
Sean McGeough, ACJ commercial vice president for North America, said: “As the world recovers from the worst of the COVID-19 crisis, the global business aviation market is enjoying a strong recovery, and we are certainly seeing this in the US. The number of business aircraft departures in America is up, and the utilisation of private jets registered here is also rising. The business aviation sector also continues to see strong levels of innovation, with new aircraft being launched and a growing focus on sustainability. This will contribute to further market growth.”
