BELO HORIZONTE’S Regional Turbine Centre (RTC) has received new authorisation from the aviation authorities of two major markets. The StandardAero facility now has Argentina’s certificado de habilitacion de taller aeronautico de reparacion (certificate of authorisation for aeronautical repair shops) and Chile’s certificado de calificaciones y limitaciones para reconocimiento de estación de reparación extranjera (ratings and limitations certificate for recognition of foreign repair station). These permit the RTC to perform OEM-approved engine MRO services for operators of aircraft registered in those countries.
As well as supporting aircraft at Belo Horizonte – including engine and APU servicing – StandardAero’s Brazil Mobile Services Team (MST) is now able to travel to operators in Argentina and Chile to perform work. The RTC complex currently supports Honeywell TFE731, HTF7000, GTCP 36 APU and Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, PW100, PW500 and JT15D powerplants.
