Cost of building materials rockets
According to the Federation of Master Builders (FMB), 90% of its members saw a hike in materials costs over the past year. On top of higher prices, the survey also revealed shortages in key areas, including timber, tiling, white goods and PVCu doors and windows. The price of timber, alone, shot up 80% in the past six months.
