SCHEDULING A BUILD
Our week-by-week account of what needs to happen when on a typical self build will help you map out your project programme
Every self build is unique, but the construction sequence will follow broadly the same pattern. So while you can’t simply lift and reuse this example schedule, it’s nonetheless a good starting point for planning your own scheme. Based on the average construction time for a large detached house, this calendar spans 30 weeks, offering an insight into what happens during a typical build. The programme shadows both a masonry project and a panelised timber frame property.
