The first of 33 five-car Class 810 bi-modes for East Midlands Railway left the Hitachi factory at Newton Aycliffe on July 14, bound for Melton Mowbray and the Old Dalby test track. The 5Q47 working is seen getting underway and heading towards Darlington led by No. 47749 (with No. 56081 out of shot at the rear).
