Two should really be called Five, of course. Mounting their comeback with, er, One in 2018, Dubstar continue the links with their 90s incarnation by the return of Stephen Hague – producer of the band’s first two studio LPs, Disgraceful and Goodbye. Youth did a fine job helming One, but Hague was always the perfect channel for Sarah Blackwood’s female Neil Tennant vocals, more perfectly enunciated Geordie inflections.
