It’s unclear what’s happened to The Big Dish’s Steven Lindsay over the past 15 years. He’s apparently enjoyed a painting career, but this new project is dominated by a sombre, unidentified regret. Take its opening triptych, delivered with glossy production at a mid-tempo pace, his soulful voice straining to communicate his anguish. The dogged Move On provides a melancholic introduction about leaving one’s troubles behind, while one plaintive track later he’s complaining Something Got Lost Along The Way, and the next, underlined by piano and, occasionally, a disembodied operatic voice, is about how Nothing Will Ever Be The Same Again.
