The Eastern & Oriental Express is equipped with plenty of places to lounge and relax – each is as luxuriously appointed as the others.

NEVER DID I IMAGINE THAT ONE DAY I would travel aboard the Eastern & Oriental Express. To me, these train journeys were out of reach. I thought the closest I’d get to a train like this was on the silver screen when I watched a murder mystery. Yet, here I am, my mother by my side, two girls from Kyogle, holed up in our State Cabin, glasses of Champagne in our hands, watching the palms whizz by as we snake through the Malaysian jungle.
But let me start at the beginning, because the decadence begins before you even step on the train.
