Care home warned over standards

A CARE home in Benderloch has been issued with a formal warning following an inspection that raised serious concerns, writes David McPhee.

The Care Inspectorate has served a formal Improvement Notice on Lynn of Lorne Care Home following a number of unmet requirements – including a lack of hot water.

The report said baths and showers were ‘rarely used’ in the home which houses 62 elderly people, adding: ‘This meant that residents could not get a shower or bath when they wanted or indeed needed one.
