JAMAICAN PATTIES
Jamaican patties
Makes: 5-6 patties
These patties are a great alternative to a lunchtime sandwich, but can also make a great dinner time dish if served with a fresh green salad.
For the pastry:
• 100g (¾ cup) white flour
• 300g (1½ cups) wholewheat flour
• 1 tbsp curry powder
• 1 tbsp turmeric
• ¾ tsp salt
• ½ tsp baking powder
• 115g (½ cup) dairy-free butter or vegetable shortening (cold)
