Tor is marketing this entertaining oddity as a “cosy” space opera, which makes it sound like Death In Paradise on a space station. But while the stakes are low and there’s a lot of good-natured, character-based humour (albeit with alien and plant-based characters) there’s also some great SF going on here too – in a bonkers kind of way.
