Based on a long-lost ITV serial, its pot of plot points mixes an alpine setting, a conveniently placed observatory capable of zooming in on individual climbers, a young woman with psychic abilities, and grotesque aliens – all veiny eyeballs and tentacles – who hang about in a radioactive cloud.
