WHEN Galen Rupp won the 10,000m at the US Trials last weekend, most people thought he was wearing kinesio tape.

The tape is used to support the musculature and is especially useful for athletes who have a niggly injury of some kind.
Instead, though, it turns out the large black sticking tape on his arms and legs was a new technology made by Nike called ‘AeroSwift’, which apparently makes the body more aerodynamic.
“They can’t hurt,” said Rupp, “and the Nike researchers are really nice guys, so I thought I’d help them out.”
