H ave you ever wondered what abject failure tastes like? Beastro has a suggestion for you. This cooking RPG is happy to propose that abject failure tastes like porridge: a big, bland bowl of the stuff, with a paltry garnish placed on top. And that garnish is fooling nobody. You serve porridge to your adventuring Caretakers when you’ve run out of ingredients to make anything more interesting for them. And porridge essentially means you’re sending those Caretakers out into the dangerous wilds unprotected.
Beastro offers a world in which food really matters. Beyond the thick walls of peaceful Palo Pori, deadly creatures are stirring and the wider landscape has grown threatening. This makes you, as the lone chef at the town’s only restaurant, a singularly important figure. The fate of this sweet-natured community rests entirely on the things you can whip up for your Caretakers – the select few who travel outside the gates each afternoon to protect the town.
