Over the past decade, and two-and-a-half Spider-Man adventures, Insomniac has established itself as the world’s most reliable maker of superhero games. It’s high time the studio tackled another of the genre’s leading lights, then, but this one is a different beast entirely. So how, we wonder, might its approach change to reflect the personality of Wolverine? Well, as befits a man so long in the tooth, it’s looking to the old school. Rather than the open-world formula Insomniac helped to establish, for this game it’s returning to the previous dominant model of Sony’s firstparty titles: the linear, setpiece-driven action of Uncharted.
