Jurassic Park is the obvious reference point for this survival-horror game, in which dinosaurs are set loose in a forest-ringed compound with some distinctly ’90s-looking hardware. But the firstperson fleeing and chunky period tech also put us in mind of Alien: Isolation and Still Wakes The Deep. So we’re not surprised to discover that, like those games, The Lost Wild is a product of the south of England: developer Great Ape is based in Brighton, just down the road from The Chinese Room, with a team that includes Isolation co-lead designer Gary Napper and talent from Supermassive Games. Should we petition to move Dorset’s ‘Jurassic coast’ moniker a hundred miles east?
