Not a name we’d normally associate with consoles, but Guild Wars 3 will appear on PS5 alongside its PC counterpart, and the developer’s promises of “a modern evolution of the MMO” suggest the game has been tailored to fit. The reveal trailer offers little more than a few majestic landscapes and beasts. Yet further information explains that the combat system has been made to “feel incredible” whether you tackle it with a controller or mouse and keyboard, and there’s an emphasis on movement and momentum as you run up vertical walls or ride a magical horned mount. With a beta test due in autumn 2027, fine details may remain scant for a while yet.
