ANDREW Stephenson, the minister with responsibility for HS2, has told MPs he is “more than happy” to meet with them to discuss concerns over the project.
Responding to a parliamentary debate of a petition urging an immediate halt to work, Mr Stephenson replied: “I know that HS2 is a project that inspires strong feelings on all sides, as do all major infrastructure projects.” He added that all MPs present were aware that the Government had “very carefully considered the merits of proceeding”.
