I just read through the last edition of Linux Format and would like to say thanks for an excellent article on Wi-Fi routers. I especially liked how you explained the details and differences between the Wi-Fi 6 and 7 standards. I’m not that into hardware, but you managed to bring all the points across in a very readable way. Well done!

Neil says… Thanks for the feedback. The terrible truth is I partly wrote it as I was looking for a new Wi-Fi 6/7 router and was interested to know what the technical changes were – I used to review routers up until around 802.11n appeared. As it is, I ended up getting a Wi-Fi 6e unit… I’m slightly more taken with Wi-Fi 7 but the prices are crazy.
