for the first time, thanks to my best friend’s brother. I just saw [ex-singer] Fish play it on his last tour and it was incredibly emotional! I’m so happy that I got to see it, but also so sad that I’ll never see him again [because he is retiring]. I’ve met [current Marillion frontman] Steve Hogarth a few times as well, which is one of the highlights of my nerdy prog life.
I think
The Sky Above The Rain
is one of the most beautiful songs of their later years. Such a beautiful, poignant song about relationships and how you view life. And, of course, Steve Rothery’s guitar work is second to none.
