MY PROG
Where’s home?
The south of Glasgow, Scotland. I’ve moved five times since 2013, so hopefully this’ll be my last.
What’s your earliest memory of prog?
Hearing Foxtrot by Genesis in 1972 at our house after my brother Martin bought it. He was already buying stuff by bands like King Crimson and Pink Floyd. I was 12 at the time.
What’s the first prog album you bought?
The Dark Side Of The Moon, from a store in Glasgow called Listen. It was way ahead of its time musically, a brilliant follow-up to Meddle.
And the most recent?
Dominion by IQ and I love it. They’ve never recorded a bad album, in my opinion, and I really enjoy seeing them live. We need to get them back up to Scotland to do a show – it’s been far too long since they last played here.
