ONE GOOD DEED
Hi Retro Gamer, I just wanted to say how much I love reading your magazine and thank you to all the team.
In your most recent mag there was a section on items which people had picked up second hand. About ten years ago, I was in the charity shop near my work when I spotted a Brütal Legend statue. I had never played the game but instantly recognised it and messaged a friend back at the office to tell him what I had found and did he want it? He was impressed and eagerly accepted the offer so I bought it for £15 and brought it back to the office where he reimbursed me. It was then that I discovered there were only 1,000 of these ever made! I couldn’t ask for it back but this haunts me to this day, that the best thing I have ever found in a charity shop I gave away! I recently saw that someone paid the equivalent of £836 including postage on eBay. I guess I have to take comfort that I did a nice thing for a friend.
