■ Sega’s in-house conversion was a triumph and absolutely trounced the other home versions of the time. It not only closely mimics the arcade original, but even includes a new ending, a Duel mode (right image) and a brand-new final level that sees you taking on the mighty Death Bringer, who absolutely isn’t just a reskinned variant of the mighty Death Adder.
