What is your development environment like?
I use a custom Windows-based integrated development tool I created called Tabmegx, which combines a text editor and tile editor optimised for the MSX screen size. For debugging, I primarily use openMSX. When working with a team, we share game text and event data via Google Sheets, automatically compile it on the web, and can instantly test it in a browser-based MSX emulator. Creating games that run on 1980s hardware using 2020s tools is personally one of the most enjoyable parts of the process for me.
