A former Oban High School pupil celebrated his 30th birthday by cycling more than 1,000 miles for charity. Euan Graham has raised more than £2,000 by cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats in aid of Who Cares? Scotland (WCS). WCS supports care-experienced people and ensures their voices are heard.
Euan, who now lives in Glasgow, completed his unsupported journey in 16 days and was endorsed by Scottish comedian Limmy before he set off.
The WCS development offcer said: ‘It was terriffic. This was a big challenge for me. I cycled through Sutherland in storm Ali – I was cycling sideways into the wind and it was hailing.’ Euan said it was not his intention to do the journey as quickly as he could. ‘I could have had just one change of clothes and have just fired through it, but what’s the point?’ he said.
