Dog owners are being warned to keep their dogs on leads near farms after two recent incidents of sheep worrying in the Corpach area.
Sergeant Ross McCartney told Kilmallie residents on Monday night that there had been two incidents in the area of dogs attacking sheep recently after getting through farm gates. Although no animals were killed, bite marks were found on one sheep. Farmers then raised concerns with local police.
He said: ‘It’s about being vigilant. Be prepared and keep your dog on a lead. Farmers work very hard so anything we can do to help them, the better.’
