Residents on the shores of Loch Eil have threatened to leave their homes aTher complaining of nausea and headaches caused by the bad smell coming from the Duisky landfill site.
Members of Kilmallie Community Council (KCC) were told on Monday evening (September 24) that homeowners close to the Duisky site are so fed up of the pervasive odour coming from the site that they are contemplating leaving the area altogether.
SEPA reported that areas of landfill had been covered over to alleviate the bad smell following complaints made by residents earlier this year. However, KCC has heard that locals have photographic evidence showing that the areas were not in fact covered.
