CALLED TO ORDURE
FOREIGN Office minister Stephen Doughty was at the Commons to answer a Tory urgent question about the dwindling Ukraine peace talks in London.
Doughty, who has all the suavity of a character played by the late Roy Kinnear, tends to be deployed when shameless falsehoods are required. With Downing Street claiming the talks were a wild success, even as Donald Trump was taking Moscow’s side while Russia was bombing civilians in Kyiv, Doughty was just the stooge for the task.
