DUEL, CITIZENS!
BAFFLING official advice and unusable travel forms have left UK dual nationals fuming over new UK entry rules.
Since 2 April, travellers entering the UK from Europe have needed an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) from the UK government. Confusion has arisen for dual citizens trying to complete the form because dual British nationality is not given as an option. Instead, they must either tick that they are single nationality – a lie that they fear could lead to prosecution – or disregard the ETA and choose to travel on a UK passport.
