MOUNT RESISTANCE
GRAVE concerns at the
Oldie
magazine, where long-serving memorial service correspondent James Hughes-Onslow has been sacked by editor Harry Mount.
The pair had a spat over a thanksgiving service for fashion designer Peter Lewis-Crown, whom the 80-year-old Hughes-Onslow declared a snob and a bore who had invented his own double-barrelled name. Mount, 54, strongly disagreed and turned up at the event announcing that he would write it up himself and that Hughes-Onslow should consider himself out of a job.
