EVENT SERIES DC’s have regularly leapt on the “gritty dystopian future” bandwagon ever since The Dark Knight Returns, and their latest example is also one of the biggest, at least in terms of page-count. A massive crossover event that lasted from January to February, Future State made up almost the entirety of DC’s output for those months, resulting in a mind-boggling amount of edgy superhero antics.
