FACE TO FACE WITH THE BIGGEST STARS
Maggie Rhee has been MIA since the apparent death of Rick Grimes. Six years later, she returns – but now she has to face Negan, the murderer of her husband… Playing one of the longest-running characters in AMC’s The Walking Dead, Lauren Cohan is no stranger to epic battles – but facing off against Maggie’s greatest enemy may change everything as the show begins filming its eleventh and final season.
Maggie’s been away for six years – did you have to learn to play her differently?
→ I had a lot of new information about where she’s been and how she’s been affected by those experiences. So it’s definitely been a matter of absorbing and translating that into how she relates to everyone. It’s exciting. It’s, in some ways, been almost like playing a different character, because she has changed so much. A defining characteristic of her being in pursuit of hope, or in pursuit of some bright spot to hang on to, has prevailed. But I think people get hardened in this world.
